Lời giới thiệu

Đây là một quyển sách tập hợp những câu chuyện có thật về hành trình khám phá nội tâm của tôi. Trong đó, đôi khi tôi dùng tên thật của những nhân vật, đôi khi tôi thay bằng những tên gọi khác. Có lúc tôi kể chuyện theo đúng như những gì đã xảy ra trong thực tế, và đôi khi tôi kết hợp nhiều câu chuyện lại làm một. Thi thoảng các câu chuyện không kể lại những sự việc đúng y như chúng xảy ra, nhưng các câu chuyện đó cũng là có thật.

Người Lakota, một tộc người thổ dân châu Mỹ, truyền lưu câu chuyện về một phụ nữ cưỡi con nghé màu trắng. Bà là người đã cho bộ tộc của họ cái tẩu thiêng. Một ngày kia, có phóng viên hỏi một cụ già Lakota rằng cụ có tin câu chuyện về người phụ nữ kỳ lạ này là thật hay không. Cụ trả lời: - Tôi không biết nó có thật sự xảy ra đúng theo cách mọi người truyền tụng hay không, nhưng tự bản thân anh có thể hiểu là chuyện đó có thật.

Và bạn cũng có thể nhận thấy tất cả những câu chuyện trong quyển sách này đều là thật. Bạn cần nhìn sâu vào bên trong tâm hồn mình để chứng thực điều đó. Mọi câu chuyện về linh hồn, từ quyển sách này hay bạn nghe được ở đâu đó, đều đòi hỏi bạn phải nhìn vào nội tâm mình để biết xem nó có thật hay không. Điều này có thể thật với người này, nhưng lại không thật đối với người khác. Đó là cách tiếp cận của quyển sách về Những câu chuyện tâm linh.

Chẳng hạn, có người cho rằng Vũ Trụ ở trạng thái chết, “trơ ỳ” và mọi sự việc trong cuộc sống đều xảy ra tình cờ, ngẫu nhiên. Nhưng người khác, trong đó có tôi, lại nghĩ Vũ Trụ rất sống động, thông thái và đầy lòng trắc ẩn. Nhìn nhận Vũ Trụ chết là một câu chuyện. Nhìn nhận Vũ Trụ sống động lại là một câu chuyện khác. Vậy thì theo bạn, câu chuyện nào là có thật?

Chính bạn phải quyết định điều đó. Mỗi câu chuyện trong quyển sách này đều mang đến cho bạn cơ hội để quyết định xem nó có là thật đối với bạn hay không. Cụ già người Lakota nói rằng chính bản thân bạn có thể tự suy xét xem khi nào một câu chuyện là thật, nhưng trước khi suy xét, bạn phải biết về câu chuyện đó trước đã. Có nghĩa là bạn phải suy nghĩ về nó và, thậm chí quan trọng hơn, khám phá xem bạn cảm nhận gì về nó.

Bạn có thể đọc tất cả những câu chuyện này trong vài ngày, theo thứ tự, hoặc chọn đọc từng câu chuyện riêng rẽ tùy thích. Vì có tới năm mươi hai câu chuyện, cho nên bạn có thể đọc mỗi tuần một câu chuyện và dành ra thời gian để ngẫm nghĩ về nó. Ngay cả nếu bạn đọc hết tất cả chỉ trong một ngày, bạn vẫn có thể đọc lại chúng, mỗi tuần một câu chuyện chẳng hạn, để có thêm thời gian suy ngẫm về từng câu chuyện.

Đối với tôi, bất kỳ câu chuyện nào khiến tôi hiểu rõ giá trị bản thân và giá trị của bạn, cũng như khiến tôi hạnh phúc khi biết rằng tất cả chúng ta cùng tồn tại bên nhau kể cả khi mọi việc trở nên khó khăn, thì tất thảy đều là Những câu chuyện tâm linh. Bất kỳ câu chuyện nào giúp tôi quý trọng Trái Đất và nhìn nhận Trái Đất như một Người Bạn Lớn, cũng là Những câu chuyện tâm linh.
