Tôi biết bạn, tôi đã có một linh ảnh về bạn ở sâu thẳm trong thiền định, và tôi đã chạm tới bạn, tôi đã gieo một hạt giống, và giờ đây tôi có một nhân duyên tốt lành để có thể nói với bạn, thông qua cuốn sách này. Tôi thật sự rất may mắn. Tôi đã có điều tốt nhất ở các Đức Thầy hướng dẫn tôi từ ngày đầu tiên. Hãy để tôi được dành một khoảnh khắc ở đây, để được trào dâng lên lòng biết ơn sâu sa tới họ, và rồi trao cho bạn một hình ảnh nhỏ của người đang nói thông qua tôi.

Đầu tiên và trước hết là Vị Thầy và Người Hướng Đạo của trái tim tôi, Geshe Michael Roach (Geshe: bằng cấp cao học của Phật học Tây Tạng), Bậc Linh Ngộ Tính Không, người nắm giữ chân lý, người bạn đồng hành trọn đời, cuộc sống tuyệt đỉnh của tôi, không có Người mọi thứ đều trở thành không thể, với bất kì sự kết tinh tinh túy nào mà tôi có, chính là Người đã lan tỏa và trút nguồn ân sủng vào tôi.

Mẹ yêu dấu của con, tình yêu của con, người đã dạy con làm thế nào để nghe tiếng bước chân của một ai đó, và người hết lần này qua lần khác đã chỉ cho con bài thực hành cao vợi về việc trao đi cuộc sống của mình vì lợi ích của kẻ khác.

Cha của con, trái tim thật lớn lao, người đang chỉ cho con niềm kiêu hãnh tột bậc trong việc phụng sự mọi người không ngưng nghỉ với niềm hoan hỷ phúc lạc.
